The Grenada Citizenship by Investment Program was launched in August 2013. The program of Grenada is the only Caribbean program with visa-free access to China and the option to apply for E-2 USA Investor Visa to reside in the United States.
Grenada’s citizens enter 144 countries without visas, including the UK, the Schengen states, Singapore, and Hong Kong. A visa-free stay in China is up to 30 days.
Grenada’s citizens can qualify for an E-2 visa to the USA, allowing them to live and work there. Applicants establish or buy a business in the United States.
The minimum investment amount for the E-2 visa isn’t stipulated, but at least $100,000 is usually required.
Investors with a Grenada passport can get a B-1/B-2 visitor visa to the USA. It allows the holder to travel around the country, attend business meetings, and get medical treatment in American clinics for up to 180 days a year.
Grenada provides a generous package of incentives including duty and tax-free concessions for prospective investors wishing to invest in its key transformation sectors of the economy (i.e. tourism, agri-business, ICT, healthcare and energy).
There are no taxes on inheritance and capital gains.
Living by the sea in a warm climate is available to investors and their families with Grenada passports. They may reside in the country, spend vacations or create a “safe haven” there.
Investors don’t pass exams or reside in the country to get a Grenada passport. The procedure is pretty fast, confidential and entirely remote (barring exceptional circumstances requiring in-person interview).
Spouses, children, and parents may acquire citizenship alongside investors. Citizens’ children inherit the status.
